I can identify with that totally, SGT (Join to see)! When I was there in 1970, I thought it was the most dangerous GI town in the United States. I hope that the city has been cleaned up since then, but the few times I returned in later career, I was still not favorably impressed.

I was there for Special Forces training, SGT (Join to see). However, back then, the SF branch and the 18 series did not exist. Also, at that time, the SF weapons course was called the “Weapons NCO Supervisor Candidate Special Forces Course”. I have no idea what it’s called now.

One of my coworkers was dating an army dog down at bragg. We drove down their once and I never went back. Fayetteville just seemed dirty, like it never got cleaned after a hurricane.
