PFC Jim Wheeler - I was stationed on DDG's, and I am in Houston, and this was funny! Are you guys okay PFC Jim Wheeler ? I am down in Bellaire, and things seem to be draining around us... Hope all is well with you and yours!

LT Brad McInnis all of my family are ok. We are all on the north side, so we didn't get hit as hard as some of the cities on the SW. Some parts of my neighborhood (innermost, by the bayou) had to be evacuated, but the part where I live is OK. Waters are receding out here, as far as I can tell, too.

PFC Jim Wheeler Exactly what I said. I don't think this type of humor about this situation is appropriate right now.

Thats ok Let the winds back off a bit and let the Gator Navy slide in LPH in there. her Evaporators can make thousands of gallons of Fresh water every day, fresh food, and the helicopters and the other VSTOL's can use it as a fueling point they can bring people aboard because the other places are over packed. they can let people sack out on the hangar bay on cots and if they were smart they would have two LCAC's on board to shuttle people on board where they do not need the airborne.

Now this is an interesting way logically to look at it. Question would be what would it take for that to happen with the bases there, and who's the approving authority?
