I used to pre op patients. I would ask about illegal drug use. I could tell they were lying and were druggies. I would explain illegal drugs can interact with anesthetic drugs in a bad way. They would tell me “if I die we all got to go sometime”. I said dying is the easy part, having someone change your diapers while sitting on a newspaper looking off into space for the rest f your life is the hard part!” Same here!
