You should be jumping for joy, Eugene; lots of incoming people are the Libs from ruined Blue States are moving to Florida. Unfortunately for the folks down here that want to live their lives with peace and freedom, they're bringing their failed Blue State politics with them and trying to turn FL blue.

Sir,
The Florida cities annotated on your post are Democratic strongholds. The eviction “freeze” during covid placed hardships on many landlords. I suppose there was no “freeze” on property taxes or mortgages. I’m not discounting the hardship on renters, there may be other factors involved.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/31/politics/migrants-us-southern-border/index.html Rent is up everywhere. Not sure if its from the flood of people coming over the border the last 10 years, who have to live somewhere, but despite new construction, which I have worked in since 1984, booming for the past 30 years, we have a huge housing shortage. And when you have more people looking than you have room for, the prices go up. The only thing in my mind that might have to do with politics about it, is when you have that many new people pouring over the border. And I used a CNN link, not Fox News, for those who might question the article, who said they thought in 2021 it would be over 2 million. They have to live somewhere, and Florida is a place many go.
