She didn't kill ISIL fighters, she is a popular Kurdish singer her real name is Helan Abdulla. She was born in Iran. Her family escaped the town of Dohuk in Iraqi Kurdistan. Her family eventually made it to Finland where they remained and she grew up.

I thought it was cool that she shot this 3 kilometers, 1.8 miles from the front lines with ISIL. Instead of dumb Lady Gaga songs like 'I was born this way' pandering to gay fans that also like Madonna.( i know since my wife and I went to a Madonna Concert in Edmonton 7th row and over half the people were gay) Helly talks about the injustice of war and the help for the Kurds being slaughtered by ISIL. To me this is more important than selling albums since we have cultural genocide and archealogical destruction caused by ISIL and other groups that support them is a more brave cause then just pandering to Gay Pride.

please explain. I just thought this video, filmed 3 km from the front lines, by a pro-Kurd singer showing the coalition of the willing helping the Kurds and also stating emphatically that was is not the answer though they are united to survive by need not choice.
