Last minute notice but I just got this and it sounds interesting if you are a Vietnam Veteran in the Boston area: There will be a Vietnam Veterans Pinning Ceremony sponsored by the NE Patriots Foundation and Cross Insurance, 28 March, 1030-1230, at Gillette Stadium, Cross Pavilion. All those who served in our armed forces from 1 November1955 and 15 May 1975 are Vietnam Veterans and may attend.
Attendees must RSVP by 15 March to [login to see] . Attire is business casual or service apparel.

If any of you want to know what it was really like being in the Vietnam war, then look up PFC Jerry McNelly as he does such a great job explaining his time in Vietnam, much better that I could. I salute this man, and all the others who served there. I remember approaching the door to disembark the plane and hit the opening. It was like a wall of heat that I ran into. Not only that but once I stepped on to the tarmac we had mortars coming down on us. I ran as fast as I could to get inside of the building. WOW what a welcome to Vietnam.

I sure remember the heat the moment that door opened on the aircraft when I arrived in Vietnam but a least the place wasn't under attack that particular day.
