In the Army, my MOS (My Secondary MOS) was Special Services. In Special Services, I was a Sports Director/and, a Sports Director for Dependent Youths. The Red Cross is also in Special Services; I believe. (Please correct me; if I am wrong.) SGT Mark Anderson

Many of Uncle Sam’s children were not too happy with the Red Cross during WWII!

The Brits insisted that the American Red Cross charge for donuts or they would be booted out of the theatre. Since there was no one else who was cleared for package and letter delivery to POWs; family reunification and a myriad of other things Red Cross had no choice in the matter except to pack up and go home.
