Good morning. I made it back from Camp Atterbury, Indiana where I was working with the most amazing group of Red Cross personnel. We have people deploying for 4-6 months to places like Djibouti, Iran, Romania and Poland in support of our troops who are there. I've worked now with Team 51, 52 and 53 but this was my first trip to the Army post where they picked up and dropped off their gear including BDUs and gas masks, etc. They were amazing...highlights...someone got to use her CPR training to save a life after a cardiac arrest and another helped someone find a reason not to end their life. Not to mention the over 2000 emergency messages that were sent between our troops, their families and others as needed.
I am honored to be a part of this.

As I said, it is an honor to serve. And some of those who deployed were pretty young like our troops while others were military vets or Red Crossers with a lot of years under their belts.

Lt Col Charlie Brown, You are truly a good person for all the volunteer work that you do for the active military and vets. The Red Cross is a great orginazation also, they do a lot for everyone, no matter what religion or belief's that people have. Thank you for your service as in military and civilian life.
