The GOP was badly fractured before but Trump is the most divisive candidate from a major party at least in my lifetime.

Edit: When you think about it, Hillary Clinton is the real unifying figure for the GOP ;)

"When you think about it, Hillary Clinton is the real unifying figure for the GOP ;)"

Therein lies the key, and you nailed it squarely.

The GOP needs a MAJOR ENEMA, maybe we will get luck and it will devour itself and be reborn to what it should be doing.

He is a distant relative of Major Malfunction and a brother to Major A-Hole :)

Interesting question. Clearly some establishment members will not join and that seems fine with the disgruntled current members and the new members he's brining in. I think the GOP has a new look as does the democrats. Another question could be, is this a good thing or will it last?

It could be that the GOP may all agree that Trump is the worst of the worst candidates in the history of the GOP but he is highly preferable to the Clintons. This is I think the GOP rallying cry. But will it unite those GOP members who aren't buying into this comparison??
We'll just have to see what happens.

Sgt Tom Cunnally - Legit observation sir. Frankly, I'm OK with some of the members that are "on board the Trump Train" as I don't like the globalist tone the party has set for a few cycles. Clearly we could have done better than Dole, McCain and Romney.

Join nearly 2 million former and current members of the US military, just like you.
