It's so sad when I hear about such tragedies. PTSD is treatable, but there must a warrior inside strong enough to want to live and survive like myself and inspiring veterans like Lester Tenney (POW Survivor from the Bataan Death March). I'm one of them who has finally overcome after a very lengthy 5-year journey utilizing a combination of methods to help me get through.

Not that I'm finally "cured" of triggers or future episodes, but the thing that I'm happy about is that I am no longer tied to the very thing that had bound me for many years. I was stuck in the past for what seemed like an eternity, but with the right network with people and the right kind of help, it is possible to make it through.

I wish we could prevent such suicides. We can't save them all, but it is my hope that someone might be reachable and helped through my story and others.

I was in a deep dark place for several months. I kept searching for the light and utilizing my "don't quit" approach to my travails.
