Best parts of holding this position

Being in front of the Soldiers and teaching them what right looks like, so someone their first duty station does not have to say, what the hell are they teaching in AIT these days

Advice on how to prepare for this position

Remember back to you roots while coming into the military. You did not have a lot of free time and the Drill Sergeants were always there. It was as if they never left and were always in your business... Now the time has become for you to become that entity of trainers. Your hours will be long and trying. You will likely work 6 1/2 days a week from 0430 to 1800. It is just like a deployment, however you get to visit your home every night.
