Hopefully they are approved. They look way more professional, more Army like, and are iconic. PFC (Join to see) SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL SSG(P) James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4" LTC Stephen F. When you cannot/will not make needed change in the service, give them "new uniforms". Everyone LOVES buying new uniforms. With all the other crap the Army needs to deal with, uniforms is so far down the totem pole of uselessness it ain't even funny.

SFC (P) Palmer Utley it’s very effective when you look at the previous SMA and the sheer hell he brought on. Not sure on the nonsense scale which was worse. Uniforms or PT belts and tattoos.

Another waste of money changing the uniforms... pick something and go with it. There are other things they should be doing with this money, time, resources, man-power...

Are you looking at this from a historical standpoint or fashion? If it's historical, the ASU (dress blue's) is the more correct uniform (add red on the trousers for Redlegs). Going back to this only means your clothing bag just got heavier and the amount given to maintain it (as if anyone really does) will not change. The Dress Blue with the big service stripes is the best and smartest uniform out there. Shame to leave it behind for this, but if the Army adopts it, the Air Force will chomp at the bit waiting to get it being it IS their "first" uniform. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a "hand in hand" issue with this coming.

I look at it as the uniform is sharp, historic, and nobody would confuse us with Air Force. I do agree however that if they make the change, stick to it so you can focus on more important issues.

SSG(P) (Join to see) To separate us from the Air Force? It’s already been on their pages they’re waiting for us to get it so they can ‘cheat’ and use the lessons learned to implement theirs. We did the OCPs, now next week they are wearing OCPs. We get this, they’re gonna jump all over it within a year

The Air Force just changed over to the OCP in part to be closer to our Army brothers.
The Air Force has never forgotten its Army roots.

SMSgt Thor Merich Espicially when they can save a butt ton of cash letting thr Army do all the major legwork and quartermaster work in getting contracts and dispersal in place. The Air Force being the actual brains they are just piggyback off an existing system and enjoy the ride at less than half price
