Cold forecast with near 35 C (65F) temperature drop for the start of Fall 2020 across the US

This will help California that has triple-digit numbers and will probably experience possible brownouts or blackouts, again, due to hot temperatures and lack of electrical reserve capacity. This shows what happens when you dwell on renewables and you get rid of nuclear power plants.
Those of you who live in Canada or the northern States should get prepared. The day I was promoted 2 years ago to LTC, we had snow in September in Edmonton. I was in California with my Family getting promoted so I missed the temporary cold snap.
You may still be able to buy used winter boots at Goodwill or other thrift stores. Time to change your wipers on your car and get the oil change as well. We have snow or below freezing temperatures from October to April here in Canada. I am so grateful for my military cold weather gear from yesteryear. Polypro and gortex is my friend in the winter. LTC (Join to see) - LOL! No it was a Much More Populous City then. Height of the Cold War. Largest Military Base Near Russia. Several Commands. Some on Isolated Single Tour Like Me, One Year. Some Married with Accompanying Wife and Family doing a Two Year Tour. Definitely a Unique Place. Beautiful and Harsh.

LTC (Join to see) - I Remember sitting on a Hill overseeing Housing and the Runway and watching a Family Move In. Unfortunately their Small Critter/Pet Dog/Cat I Don't remember specifics but, It Ran Outside, Was Quickly Picked Up by a Bald Eagle and Became Dinner.

yesterday we had 77 Friday, 72 Saturday, 59F today, 50F tomorrow. The cold wave is coming from the middle of the Continent so it may not affect me as much. We may be in the 70s by midweek.
