Use to frequent the Atlanta Fogo de Chao. The food is still excellent but the service is terrible. They want you in and out as quickly as possible.

Thank you my friend LTC Eugene Chu for posting the article from eatthis.com on the 8 Steakhouse Chains With the Best Quality Meat in America and letting us know that this is an opinion piece which may or may not reflect your views

My darling wife and I ate at Ruth's Chris restaurant in Fairfax, Virginia and were highly dissatisfied with the quality of the food for the money, $200 a decade ago, and the service which was poor.

Recently we have eaten at two steak-serving restaurants that are noteworthy to us.
Both are located close to each other. They can be entered from the outside of Fair Oaks Mall, in Fairfax Virginia
1. Brio Tuscan - the first time I took my wife to this restaurant we had an enjoyable meal and great service in a very uncrowded restaurant. We went back a month later and had poor service - waitress couldn't communicate or understand well. Food orders were off.
A few weeks ago I decided to try again. This time we had a wonderful meal, excellent service and a excellent atmosphere. I asked to speak with the manager. I complemented the server, the food and the atmosphere. He said he had been brought down from Manhattan, New York 2 months ago. His priorities were excellent food and excellent service. He fired the weigh staff and began hiring seasoned waiter and waitresses. I told him his efforts are working and we looked forward to returning. [Brio Tuscan offers a 20% discount for military
2. Texas de Brazil Brazilian Steakhouse, has a wonderful salad bar with soup - soup has been bean and seafood. I do not eat seafood as a rule. The waiters bring meat to your table on long and thick skewers and allow to choose which meat you would like. We learned at the end of our first visit that as long as the coaster are faced up [green] the meat will continue to be brought to your table :-) The other side is red which is a signal to stop bringing meat. [They also have a military discount]

3. Our favorite steakhouse was J.R.s Stockyard in Tyson's across for Tyson's Mall. I was introduced to this restaurant, when I accompanied the mathematical modeling group, that I was a part of at LMI, for lunchtime meals in the mid-1990's. I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
The restaurant stopped operating in the beginning of the COVID lock-downs; but they continued to offer their stellar catering service for large parties - minimum size was ten - from a few locations in northern Virginia

Amazing how some places can change in every aspect over a short period of time, but I liked this post since it concentrated on top "Quality" steaks. Having said that, just change the kitchen staff and wait staff and all of a sudden the best meat just doesn't deserve a medal.

Really enjoyed reading through this and some of the tips are interesting and contrary to some of my thoughts on different types of steak cuts. Great post!
