Every loss of a Service member is a tragic loss, the loss of Mayor and Major Taylor, especially in this political climate, is a blow to our Nation in the loss of a beloved politician. We are deprived of his future civic leadership; perhaps as Utah's governor, maybe rising all the way to POTUS. How will we keep a legacy such as Mayor Taylor's alive?

We remember why he was such an effective leader and his dedication to the public service and the uniform. He was a true example of an American hero.

So, so very true. It is tragic to learn of such a person posthumously. I am grateful that those whom he knew and loved and led had him to, if but too short a time, give them hope for America's future...and inspire them to it. My friend, General (Ret) Santoni, wants to see more Service members and Veterans in politics. I think we should seek to assist that to become a reality.
