The best resumes I see do a good job of drawing attention to the most important points. Achievements, positions, leadership roles, etc. Make it easy for the manager to understand your experience.

The comments in the article regarding key words is aimed at Applicant Tracking Systems used by companies to filter candidates without a person actually setting eyes on each resume submitted. When seeking a new opportunity and researching an organization, find a connection who is inside, someone you are able to speak with and pass your resume to them directly. A great many candidates are missed because a person did not actually see the resume to make the connection between your experience and the role being filled.

Thanks for sharing MSgt Guillermo Ybarra III. It is best to tailor a resume to the company and position you are applying for after doing research into that company to learn what you can about them.
