Well, it looks like the Russians will have a great weapon for fighting some high-tech version of WWII if ever it comes to pass. On the other hand, their new tank looks like a fine target for a host of sophisticated airborne and shoulder fired antitank missile systems. However, since WWII tanks have never proven effective in asymmetrical warfare, at least not that I've seen. You may now jump all over my comment...

I agree with you that the tanks have a limited role in asymmetric warfare, are threatened by ATGMs, and Red Air.

There's a lot of tank killers out there today, I wonder how the armor will stand up, would be interesting to see a demo. I wonder if the high profile is a good trade off? WWII saw how the Sherman commanders found a way to defeat the German Tiger.

The M1 does not have an auto loading system. How well can the Tank Commander manuever the tank and ID targets from hull level? What are the ballistic solutions of this tank?: Does it use a laser for distance? take into account the wind direction and velocity, the speed and direction of the target and the T-14 movement, and the effective range of the rounds?
