"Zero Tolerance" requires zero judgment. Not only have we removed civics classes from school curricula, but also now teach disrespect for the rule of law by applying "justice" without prudence. If students defend themselves from bullies they are punished equally with the aggressor. In this case the student learned an invaluable lesson in bureaucracy: You will be punished if you fail to observe rules and regulations regardless of outcome. What a wonderful lesson his classmates will learn as well. No hall pass? No excuse.

The good samaritan act is legal on the streets. Why not in schools? Some of these schools are run by tyrants rather then comment sense. That teacher and the school board should be thanking that student. If the girl would have died where she lay, they would be whistling a different tune. They would also be looking at losing their jobs and a hefty lawsuit.

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D.
And yet those same administrators shove "Drag Queen Story Hours" and promote same-sex and gender-transition literature and instruction for preteens. . . .

He did the RIGHT thing. What is going through these people's minds? It's amazing.
