She lost me on this one. He tells her to get back into the car, get into the car fully, and she wanted to exercise her 1A. She had her hands behind her, so if she was attempting to comply I saw the hand in front of her a few times and it wasn't to break her fall. Could it have been handled with less force? Yes, but you cannot make an attempt to use the officers badge against him. So move forward and she's in the back of the car. She is under arrest. Now I don't know how many folks have been Mirandized, but the first thing you do is STFU. The car is wired and they tell you "you have the right to remain silent". So why are you "trying" to understand a damn thing? Don't say shit don't ask for shit. But I won't matter until Sheriff I know everything comes in and blames her for global warming. I'm torn, but leaning on the cops side on this based on the video in and out of the car.

Here's another one. I saw this on the news today. The man was on his back, in the road, and his hands were in the air. The person with him is Down syndrome and is playing with a toy truck. The man on the ground tells the cops it's just a toy truck, no need for guns drawn. Then they shot him. I was like, WTF. It was clear as hell there was no weapon in either man's hand. There's no excuse for this shooting. The cop definitely was not in fear of his life. I love cops and many of my friends are cops, but I'm damn tired of them shooting unarmed black people. If they have an itchy trigger finger, they have no business being on the force and having a weapon. Hell, even in a combat firefight, I could distinguish if there was a weapon or not. If the VC gave up and threw their weapons down, I wasn't going to shoot. I might bust a head or two, but at least they weren't dead.

The training period needs to be lengthened significantly so that more emphasis can be placed on de-escalation techniques. As it is now, it seems too many officers are too aggressive in asserting thigh authority and using their service weapon. The British have a three year long training course if I remember correctly and even those officers that are armed seem more even-tempered.
