Praying for there loved ones. Situations like these are sometimes the hardest. When you can't bring them home.

Every night two Apaches fly over my house from Ellington Field. These two pilots are most likely one of the pair of Apaches. Since I was in Helicopters in Vietnam, and this happened about ten miles from me, it is really upsetting. Thank you for praying for them Mary.

You are very welcome. I could only emagine how heavy your heart is. I remember as a child before Clinton closed down so many of the bases near where I live. We had all sorts of military air activity flying over us. I remember my brother and I running to the top of the highest hill that we could and try to wave at them as they passed. Hoping they would be waving back.
Desert storm was especially heart breaking, not as many returned home as when they all flew out in some of the most uniformed flight deployments I had ever seen. I miss it a lot sometimes. Now all we hear is life flight every summer because of stupid flat landers coming up to the rivers getting drunk and drowning!
But every now again we some times get a few apaches flying by. You never forget that familiar sound of the rhithmatic heartbeat of the apache gliding almost effeortlessly by.
