This mission was ordered, resourced, intelligence gathered, team and resources moved into place in less than 9 days. What is this - "Contrary to earlier reporting, the senior military official said, ...not a holdover mission approved by President Barack Obama."
Anyone else have a problem with this?
I may not have been in SpecOps and I have been retired for over 20 years, but I do not believe that things have advanced that much to pull off such a thing in less than 9 days.

It is with deep sorrow, that I learn of the death of Chief Petty Officer William "Ryan" Owens, Special Operator with the United States Navy. God bless this brave man and God protect the U.S. Navy Seals.

The bugle has sounded taps once more, to call our friends to another shore.
Some were strangers and some we knew, but each one wore the Navy blue.
We only saw them once a year, as we would get together here....
We'd tell sea stories and have a beer, to enjoy the laughter and good cheer.
To bond with someone we just met, to share the times we won't forget.
They've gone on to a calmer sea, to sail the heavens for eternity.
We will miss them one and all, those proud sailors, who stood so tall.
Don't be sad that we're apart for they are with us in our heart.
There is a bond with Navy men, like no other I have known.
So look around you shipmates, you will never be alone.

Rest in Peace, your watch is over, you have been properly relieved

SSG Robert Webster I am sorry to read that a young, innocent girl died in this raid but I also feel you dont bring your children to sites where you are carrying out combat operations. It is sort of lie a recent video that was posted on Wikileaks about a gunship firing upon a van that had two children in it. The pilots had no way of knowing and these idiots in the van should know that you dont bring your children to a gunfight.

Awesome article with the presentation of the events, etc. I have to think that more than 9 days were utilized planning, staffing and executing this.
