I find it scary that the answer to this is that Democrats should oppose legislation that they support to defeat Trump. Whatever happened to doing what is best for the American people. Screw this if you want it I don't want it anymore attitude. We need to get on board and support the people that are doing what needs to be done, not just following the party with no concern for the people. I am a conservative, but if anyone comes up with a plan that works and helps a majority of the people I would get on that train. just my two cents.

Sadly Mike, that went away decades ago. "Ask not what your country..." etc, is long gone. Now, its a political sporting event. We're not "for America." We're for "our team." Yay democrats! Go republicans!

Interesting read. Somehow I doubt the dems will follow any of this. They seem to be doubling down on unhinged.

Until Trump gets full love from his party, they don't honestly have to. All they have to do is pop popcorn and dim the lights. The Rubio's, Cruz's and Romney's are still not 100% onboard with The Donald. He needs to rally the party. Log off of Twitter and start head hunting. Start firing folks not onboard with the Republican manifesto.

COL Charles Williams - The article interestingly references a Gallup Poll suggesting Donald Trump has the absolute lowest approval ratings and absolute worst disapproval ratings of the last 12 presidents. What is more interesting is that Trump appears to be the absolutely most polarizing president. Warmest Regards, Sandy :)

1LT Aaron Barr - Whether the chicken came before the egg or not - the man clearly is clearly exacerbating if not creating and exploiting deep divisions in our society. This hasn't been anywhere near as obvious in any prior presidency - all the way back to the 1950's - no prior president ever so cleanly split the gallop pole between approval vs disapproval - with essentially no one undecided or anywhere in the middle of the pack - everyone either supports or disowns this guy. Where are any statistics suggesting this deep division with so many people taking up sides for and against the president - ever existed at any time in our history back to the Eisenhower Administration in the 1950's? Warmest Regards. Sandy :)

That's a very valid point though I would maintain that there was a high degree of polarization before Trump even ran.

He hasn't done anything yet and the Democrats own the media and control the narrative right now. Take another poll after 18-24 months in office. Don't bet the farm that pools less than 6 months into an administration mean anything.

1LT Sandy Annala - I am sure Clinton would have had the same disapproval ratings, A lot of people didn't want either candidate they just voted for one. Which is not right and why our system is the two party system it is. However don't pretend that Clinton would have had a more solid approval rating.
