Not a fan of colorizing things like classic movies but these photos show that there is a place for colorizing. Also, in general, like colorizing of tv shows, WWII in color on AHC is a good example, much better in color than the black and white it was originally filmed in.

I tend to agree. Some movies were deliberately shot in black and white even though color was available. Historic pictures of Lincoln and the Civil War become more real it seems to me.

To be honest IMHO black and white photography is able to capture nuances of reality which allows the viewer to see the essence without being distracted by color, makeup, airbrushed techniques, etc.

I have to agree in many cases ... plus sometimes B&W better conveys the mood.
