My first impression of anything Charles Krauthammer says is (generally): It's likely that I will disagree with at least part of what he says, but I will appreciate that what he says will be well thought out and reasonably presented, without accusing evryone who might disagree of being a commie, pinko, pervert freak. Or worse: a snowflake.

This time, I don't note anything I disagree with. But, you're right, I am surprised to hear such reasonableness coming from Prager U.

Very good video, exactly what I've been promoting for years. The wall itself would be completely unnecessary if the US had a strong position that illegals get deported, since that is unlikely in the future the wall is a great political statement to would be illegals which is even more beneficial than the actual wall itself.
I'd love to see a register or out time period. All illegals have 12 months to register with the IRS get valid SSNs and demonstrate their ability to afford their lifestyle. They cannot continue to work without paying income tax, and the other taxes on work. If you cannot show through legal income where you pay for your expenses immigration gets called in and the family group is deported. After a period of years all illegals would be able to apply and pass the routine naturalization process to become citizens. Good process to allow those that are here to stay, reduce the hardships currently placed on illegals and our nation, while keeping future illegals out of our country.
Finally we need an immigration reform where vistas are granted for foreigners who have a job, let businesses decide who can come and work, they can stay as long as they have a job, as soon as they cannot justify their lifestyle with legally earned income or they commit a crime automatic deportation.

I'm for the wall... but I find funny at just how many of those who are against it live behind walls, with security, and cameras, even dogs... they do that for their own homes. They don't welcome trespassers or other unwelcomed, uninvited guest... only those on the guest list or well known to the key members of the households. Yet these very same people say we should not build a protective barrier on our nations borders.
