The media is it's own worse enemy. The news is "supposed to be" based on facts but is written by people who have their own biases and agendas. The Spanish American War is an example of how the news media lied to increase circulation. In more recent times, the news media has used tragedies such as the Trayvon Martin and Michael Ferguson deaths to stir up social awareness. In both cases, there was a death involving a black person, but many of the other reported "facts" were manufactured. In the past year, there have been many news reports about Trump utilizing suspect or "undisclosed" sources making questionable claims. Until the News Media gets out of the rumor and opinion business and sticks to the hard pure facts, no one will ever believe them

It would be nice to hear news. Not suppositions. Get politics out of the media.

Biased does not mean fake. All news has bias. The main stream media, and I include MSNBC and Fox, is more accurate overall than the fringe elements. The Washington Post can be just as accurate and true as the National Review and vice versa. The problem, it seems to me, is to simply dismiss the free press as fake because it has a slant. That is very dangerous to a republic for obvious reasons.
