It would be nice to hear news. Not suppositions. Get politics out of the media.

Biased does not mean fake. All news has bias. The main stream media, and I include MSNBC and Fox, is more accurate overall than the fringe elements. The Washington Post can be just as accurate and true as the National Review and vice versa. The problem, it seems to me, is to simply dismiss the free press as fake because it has a slant. That is very dangerous to a republic for obvious reasons.

The MSMs lost my trust decades ago. So far, in all that time, they have NOT done anything to gain it back. Cry wolf to many times and what happens?

For a slightly different tact: What is missing is integrity, that ethical drive. I currently work at a company that is involved in Ethics and Compliance. We've all heard what's happened with some of the "big banks", also with Uber, and you can find many more examples. We are now in a social media world where company mistakes become public knowledge rather rapidly. Too many big corporations still think we are in a world where they can bury their mistakes. This includes politics and MSMs by the way. When the corporations get out of sync with the consumer force, bad things happen. I predict many of these organizations will eventually topple. I also predict that the consumers will force a more ethical approach to many dealings of the big corporations. I also predict we are in for more roller coaster rides than we need.
