I fully agree with the article even though it is extremely right leaning. When Charlottesville took place, it was almost impossible to not take one side or the other. Especially when you try looking at the incident through the eyes of the law. I found myself gravitating towArds the white supremacists because of them having legal permits and free speech! It offends me to support white supremacists simply because I refuse to support or agree with anyone who tries to stifle even bad speech... but that is exactly what happened! It's like the middle was taken away!

In order to protect the constitution and our own freedom of speech, unfortunately we have to protect it for the idiots that were marching in Charlottesville. I agree with you completely.

You are citing the wrong logical fallacy WRT the distinction between Nazis and Antifa. A false dilemma is presented when there are more actual choices than the ones offered, but it is premised on making a choice, not making a characterization. As a logical fallacy, the characterization would me more akin to taking away the middle, but it is actually more indicative of the cognitive distortions of black and white thinking, global labeling, and overgeneralization.
