This is just one of the many achievements of the F-8 Crusader fighter jet also know as the "Mig Master" having the highest kill ratio, 19:3, of any aircraft in the Vietnam War. And in my opinion, the prettiest fighter jet ever made

Had a friend who flew them. Told me stories of flying low along the railroad tracks in the high desert of California practicing attacks on trains and scaring the hell out of engineers

There were a couple in the graveyard at Davis Monthan. They managed to make one shell and put it near tnhe main gate
