He also tweeted that the NFL should lose their "massive tax breaks" if they don't stop the protests. But they gave up their tax exempt status in 2015. Rex Tillerson was right.

There's a difference between 'tax exempt status' (which they voluntarily gave up because the optics vastly outweighed the small benefit from it) and the tax breaks given to build stadiums, which is what they're looking at now. There is no correlation between the two issues.

SN Greg Wright - the tax breaks for stadiums are local deals that Trump and congress have nothing to do with, and are decided prior to the stadiums being built in most cases.

LTC (Join to see) - The point is that that taxpayers (regardless of what level, local, state, fed) are funding the stadiums. That's what they're taking aim at. This article explains it better, read past the tax-exempt part (which you were always right about).

When you don't get yourself briefed on anything, you end up looking pretty stupid. It's a daily occurrence with this POTUS.

Recognizing "stupid" when you see it, is not hating.

All in all, there is way too much money in salary, stadiums, and everything else NFL related. I do not care where the money comes from, does not matter. All sources of funding are GROSS! When it comes down to it, they are tossing a ball around. Yet Congress bickers over pay raises for the troops every freaking year! AND, to add insult to injury, the military has/had to pay to be at the stadiums! If only ... bottom line, I boycott the NFL.
