Look up the flooding of black towns -start with Lake Lanier:

It also has had a LOT of weird things happen there ever since it was flooded. There's other black towns that were destroyed and flooded as well. That's something not taught in school.

Why some think Georgia's largest lake is haunted: Local hidden gems
Lake Lanier draws millions of visitors each year with fun activities like swimming and boating, but the area's history is much deeper.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff
SPC Kevin Ford - I think I saw videos on TikTok about it is how I heard about it. And then other towns mentioned too. It's insane.

What do you know about the Dineh Walk of Tears; the Springfield (IL) massacre, the Orangeburg massacre; the Catcher Race Riot; the Ocoee Massacre; the Bogalusa Labor Massacre; the Porvenir massacre; the Chinese massacre; the Hells Canyon massacre; the Ludlow massacre? And that's just the tip of the iceberg. There's a reason Lead Belly said "you gotta stay woke." And he said that in 1938 when discussing his song "Scottsboro Boys."
The reason you didn't read or hear or learn about it is that certain people are very good at making sure only one side of history is told. And if you try to correct it so that the real history is told and learned about in schools, then you will be told that you are pushing Critical Race Theory.

I knew it was a thing back when I was growing up but never truly read up on it until I was assigned to OK for 4 years and we took a trip up to Tulsa. This was truly a tragic event for those who were murdered based on a rumor. Just imagine how Tulsa could have turned out and become a prosperous city. This is what bad/misleading information, racism, and violence can do and yet it keeps happening and many of our politicians simply sit back and watch it.
