I'm going with the .308 (7.62 x 51). I believe it is.more easily obtainable for a number of reasons, most of which should be fairly obvious to people who are familiar with the two calibers.

The 308 would be my choice but the truth is these days I prefer something lighter.

Can't beet that Stan, a good old good caliber, I had once a 1903 Springfield, 30.06
