Marine HF SSB, VHF, Amateur Radio, Iridium Satellite Phone - nothing worked - total bull dung!!! There is some game being run here - not sure what game - but my Iridium satellite phone works reliably everywhere - as long as you can see a few satellites - and this is impossible to kill at sea!!! They are planning a new sailing trip now??? This is a sad novel!!! I wonder if boat insurance payout may be a motivation? Warmest Regards, Sandy :)

They are auto on in a sense - many are sea water and/or heavy shock activated. Sandy :)
