Face it, the media has never truly been a fan of the military. Over Veterans Day thay ran a lot of military movies and watched Green Berets for first time in a long while. Anyhow, the media character, sorry can't remember name, was a classic for how most media feels about military. Relationship has improved somewhat recently, but IMO think the underlying feeling of media is to not trust military.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen, it seems like trust should be a reciprocal trait. Why should the military "imbed" reporters if the feeling is they are not trusted? Let 'em stay home!

Really think both sides have different objectives when media "imbed". Sometimes they actually may come to positions of agreement, but face it, why "imbed" if you don't think you'll catch military doing something out of the ordinary that sells papers or gets air time.
