Real Patriotic Veterans Don't Need To Be Obnoxious About It

Let's try "love your neighbor as yourself" or "do unto others as you would want them to do unto you." Good ideas from the Bible that make supreme commons sense for living in community with other people. If you live in an area with laws (cities and states) or rules (home owner's association or apartment owners can make rules), then go through the process to get the laws or rules changed if you want. Most politicians and citizens will respect your service and listen to your recommendations. Make reasonable demands, such as being allowed to fly a flag daily. Don't do stupid stuff, like blaring "to the colors" or taps daily. If you wouldn't want your neighbors play rap music loudly twice a day, don't play your music that way. Being obnoxious gains no respect for you, your beliefs, your service, or the Service of which you were a part.

This is a good article. Thanks for sharing. I didn't know T&P was left leaning, either, but patriotism shouldn't have "sides", and neither should being a good neighbor.

So true...but this applies also to far left and far right politicians.
