I knew the crew of the "Can Do" it was out of Gloucester Mass. I was living in Gloucester...We did a Memorial with the names of all souls lost at Sea since records were started and the last names we put on were the crew of the Can-Do....It hangs in Gloucester City Hall Today.
It was a city in mourning for awhile.

I sure remember that storm, not much escape, I spent My time in a Police Patrol car at work.
