Coercing a private company regarding partisan issues by withholding public government support is (fill in the blank).
I think it is strange for an elected official to feel attacked by a private corporation for their position on an issue is weird.

I don't care what he does or does not do as a state official in Georgia. They can issue or pull back tax breaks as they wish.
What I can tell you is that Delta is getting a terse letter from me on this topic. I have flown almost 2 million miles with Delta over 22 years of regular travel, about 100,000 a year. I am in their top 3% of their customer base with that level of travel.
For Delta to single out a legal, registered corporation who had not a single person anywhere near this shooting is beyond ridiculous. The NRA (Which I am not a member) has millions of law abiding, gun owners as part of their organization. I do not believe, over their entire existence, the NRA has ever had a member of theirs involved in a mass shooting (except to stop it). Delta is trying to virtue signal and immerse itself in an issue that it has no business getting into.

CPO (Join to see) - I get your point and I agree. And yes, I think the fringes on both sides are always more vocal. I live in a red state and I don't believe they would miss entering a criminal record into the system. Some states may that have an agenda. In Cruz's case he wouldn't have been in a criminal database because the only contact he had had was mental illness before he was 18. Almost no one enters them into the system, as I understand. I don't know what you mean by "the police decided to go with a soft touch," because I don't think they were being soft at all. They didn't have any criminality to put in a system, but there's lots they failed to do. Do I think they were being soft? No, I think they were being lazy. I think their culture is: "it's not our job until he breaks the law." They could have gotten him some help, they knew there was abuse in the family. Their whole process is really flawed.

Cpl Jeff N. - I do not disagree at all, except they stated this wasn't their intention.They came out with a statement that said they had decided to remain neutral in this debate, so they were withdrawing discounts because they valued their customers on both sides. Obviously the GA LG did not take it as neutrality. This isn't the first time they've done it. They publicly denounced a sponsorship with a theater showing a "Julius Caeser" play that ended up showing the assassination of Pres Trump last year. I did not think it was right when Pres Trump came out against Nordstrom either, and he should have stayed out of it. I guess their "not taking sides" statement was not viewed as such. Wonder why there hasn't been a cry against United?

Susan Foster - Saying they remain neutral is a misdirection. They target the NRA and only the NRA and called them "divisive". Read their press release. It is complete poppycock. They took the side of those groups arrayed against the NRA, mostly progressives and liberals that have never liked weapons and have wanted to ban them for decades.
It is also an absurdity that they compared they dropping of the play in the park to ceasing their relationship with the NRA. The play depicted the violent, cold blooded murder of the President of the United States. They compared that to the NRA's defense of the 2nd amendment. Does that make any sense to you? If it does, you are part of the problem.

I think that the Georgia officials are over extending themselves. This is not a government level pissing contest. Us "civilians" can handle Delta just fine on our own. Delta is within their rights and I hope those of us who are pro-NRA give them a figurative kick in the nuts.

Although I am pro gun I agree with John. Delta has the right to do this and I have the right to not fly them anymore if I want to go that way...

While I am Pro NRA and the work they do helping maintain the 2A from those that would destroy it, This Georgia Official really doesn't have the right to demand a Private Company keep doing business with another company it objects too. Regardless of the virtue signal that Delta and the dozen other companies are doing it isn't the States right to demand or attempt to hold hostage a company that is not doing what it likes in its private AOR. What would be next? What if liberal states started targeting Conservative business owners and fining or threating them with jail for going against the liberal decries off the State.... Ohh dam ya that's already happened hasn't it.
See I don't like it when liberals do it and I don't like it when Conservatives do it. But lest be honest the Liberals think it is perfectly fine to, fine, jail, and put out of business ANYONE that does not obey their liberal ideology. Conservatives are just saying well no more tax breaks for you.
As for the issue over the 2A I'm going to say this to every liberal out there... You cant have my guns!!! EVER!!! For no reason will I ever willingly surrender my ability to defend myself against tyranny and oppression. The AR-15 isn't for hunting its for making sure the Government can not take all your rights away. It is the reminder to Washington that the Nation has the right and the ABILITY to defend itself from corruption. Simple answer for ending mass shootings.. End the gun free zones, arm the teachers that are willing and can pass the background checks, let people arm themselves. nationally Cops are 12 min away (or sitting in the parking lot refusing to help) you can not rely on others to save you, there is no superman, no wonder woman going to show up in the nick of time. You must be the Superman, the Wonder Woman, you must be the Wolf Hound when the wolves come. Will you be with out teeth or will you demand your right to be armed?

MSgt John McGowan - Cali forbid travel by state employees or with state funding to Kansas, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, South Dakota and Texas. This has mostly effected Cal State and University of California athletic teams as they have not been allowed to attend games in the "offending" states. On the plus side Cali is now seeing an exodus of business to less taxed states many of which are on the same banned list lol.

Thank you for saying that. There is so much hypocrisy and nobody likes it when it's done to them. In this case, I think the LG is making a political statement that will have little monetary affect on Delta, so it must be close to time for him to run again. He isn't forbidding his state employees travel on them, he's just saying they won't give them the fuel tax break that's up for a vote now. They aren't taking the tax breaks away Delta already has. And Delta is not saying NRA members aren't welcome, they are just saying no 5% discount. They will just pass that fuel tax on to their customers. And since they are the largest employer in Atlanta, it's unlikely too many people will refuse to fly them. But a person has every right to do so.
