Fallen Hero gives his life so that Famous (less than average) Pro Football player can protest social issues by disrespecting the National Anthem and the Flag. The very symbol of our great nation.
Nike issues a statement that it did not occur to them that this ad might be taken the wrong way until they saw the meme of service members cutting off the Nike Whoosh. Really?
At the end of day - Nike advertisers don't give a rats ass about the military or about Social Justice. They only see $$$ and the bottom line. This messaging was by design engineered to cause outrage and controversy on both sides of the argument hoping the effect and fallout would cause Nike sales to spike.
