To answer your question SFC Farrell, I will quote from George Orwell’s classic Animal Farm, “All animals are equal, some are more equal than others.” In other words, different spank for different ranks.

An oldie but a goodie, I was in a conversation today with John Anderson. I asked him if he ran in the 1980 presidential contest. He exclaimed, "You remember that guy?!?" Same thing with George Orwell; many have claimed to have read him, and then butcher his quotes.

LOL....I actually voted for John Anderson in 1980. Couldn’t stand Carter and wasn’t mature enough at the time to comprehend Reagan’s vision for America.

McKinney was demoted for less, although it seemed he did more wrong. RHIP will always have its ugly head somewhere, but I think he got ‘over’ because the female didn’t want to get involved. Maybe the outcome would’ve been different had he gone ‘all in’ on his prosecution.

The problem is that senior offciers think that they are "bullet-proof," and that their subordinates will hide the bad behavior. After reading this article, it is pretty clear that he needed to be relieved for cause, and lose some rank. We always roll our eyes about the EO/SHARP training, but this is the reason why it has to be done every quarter. He serves as Exhibit A for this brief moment because there will inevitably be another in a week or so.

Sir when you’re the ‘checks and balances’ all in one person, you pretty much a very small god in your own way. When your peers won’t snap you in place due to them loosing their jobs or bad evals, who owns who? The BRO CG had how many ‘tips’ to stop his behavior before he was relieved? He even played the victim and retired....at current rank. What example does that set when the upper crust of the military all know each other being the pool is extremely shallow and your SEAs are all handpicked? We’re setting ourselves up for this. It also seems the more examples we make, no one has truly been slammed the way a JO/JE would. The military needs to make some serious examples of these senior officers and NCOs. Make em public then make the units discuss it at their next ‘all hands’ while doing mando training. Show the juniors the seniors mean business when it comes to policing their peers the same way they’re serious as hell about policing us.
