I was very tempted to use the Colonel's quote about aging (I am taking a first person lesson in that one) but then I found this and it is the other piece of that puzzle. I don't like to be criticized, and I will work very hard not to be. However, none of us are perfect and there are times when criticism is not just helpful but absolutely needed to get things sorted out. How we accept that says a lot about who we are. Can we be gracious or do we listen grudgingly or not at all? Think about both how you give and how you receive criticism. Those who don't accept it well often don't give it well either.

I've always had a hard time with the compliments - it took me a long time to learn to smile and say "thank you". I have lived with a lot of criticism in this life and as long as it's given in a decent manner, I listen carefully and try to change whatever it is that's being crtiticised. OR defend my position :-) Compliments are much harder to deal with, not being sure if they're "meant" as such, or not. And feeling that I deserve that.

SCPO Morris Ramsey It won't be a long trip and the time will be short, but we'll make every minute count. Proud Dad that is for sure and I've got two more to get through their Master Programs. My oldest will graduate next May with her Masters and my youngest i finishing up Junior College, then off to four year University. I've got plenty of procatice and lot's of student loans, but all worth it for my three girls. Thank you Morris for the great quote and well wishes. Have a wonderful weekend!
