My opinion is: All this interest in Khashoggi is just another shameless attempt to link President Trump to some kind of conspiracy by a bunch of Trump haters.
I fail to see the United States interest, and for that matter the worlds interest, about the death of a foreign national, who is a member of Muslim Brotherhood. From what I’ve been told many times over the years: once you join that organization there is only one way to leave: in a box. Jamal Khashoggi argued that "there can be no political reform and democracy in any Arab country without accepting that political Islam is a part of it." We care about his person’s death?

MAJ Ken Landgren
Trump injected himself into the investigation by claiming the killing was conducted by rogue elements.

MAJ Ken Landgren - For how much I've grown to like President Trump (I didn’t like him in the beginning) he does always allow himself to get drawn into some situations, doesn’t he? You are correct. In this situation I believe he decided to try to placate the media because they were going to keep beating the war drums. He is mistaken there is no placating the Left, the second you concede a point they try to kill you. At the beginning of his Presidency he would have just stated “We have no interest in this.” I believe he needs to keep his original tact.
