You just never know where old minefield or even old ordinance from WWII may show up. It is amazing no one hast been hurt of killed at that location with the length of time those mines has been there.

SMSgt Lawrence McCarter 1 Year on Adak, I Remember all the WWII Ordnance that washed up on the Beach and Also Remember Impaling My Boot with an Anti-Personnel Spike. 6 years Homeported in Bremerton, WA, Jackson Park, Naval Housing which was built on top of an Old Navy Ammo Dump and the Kids would find Ordnance After Every Heavy Rain Fall.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - That kind of disturbing they would build Military Family Housing where an old ammo dump had been. Its a wonder that none was hurt, at least I hope no one was.
