When you hear about the tragedy of service member and veteran suicides you don't usually think of flag officers.
Obviously this article leaves more questions than it provides answers. The death is being investigated and hopefully those answers will come but in any case it's a shame to see anyone go out this way.

Just because he didn't have a V device on one Ribbon and that Jerk San Diego Tribune reporter noted a minor mistake and the CNO killed himself over this!

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel I was in OCS just about to go through my final phase at Fort Lewis when this happened. I was baffled and sad.
