This is the way it is supposed to be. I’m as conservative a Christian as they come, but it’s my belief that Jesus taught us to love regardless. I do not have to agree with a persons lifestyle to love them.

God tells us that He is the only judge, and that we may judge a sin or an act as being evil, but the judgement passed on others is His to make.

It is my job to love and preach and seek peace.

I am also refreshed to see VP Pence act as he did. Our Nation will never heal until we stop judging each other based on preconceived notions of others based on their beliefs, race, nationality, etc.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel, this also falls in the line of your comment. It is so the governments judgements can be unbiased and fair. I couldnt agree more my friend.

We can’t all be perfect, LOL. Just kidding PO1 William "Chip" Nagel, I consider myself furttherest from perfect as any other person in this world. A quote I like to park my life on is:

“The knowledge that you will never obtain perfection is no excuse to stop the pursuit of perfection.”

I love what God has done in my life, and the peace and joy that Christ provides even as I am lying here hurting and on oxygen, taking a series of treatments with an IV infusion making me cold as ice (I need a microwave up here, LOL), I am happy and content. I believe in the scripture, and as I believe in it I know that the suffering that we endure now is nothing compared to the glory we will see. I also believe the suffering I am enduring is nothing compared to Christ’s suffering, so I will never complain about my life having been drastically shortened or the pain I am going through.

Plus, I like being joyous, it is now a choice to me. I simply choose to be so.

And as for others, whether they be LGBT, atheist, Buddhist, Muslim, or even those Christians who may easily be mistaken for an atheist (LOL), yes I would love for them to accept and be sincere in Christ. More importantly than my trying to get them to start believing as I believe, is that I believe (truly believe) and practice what I preach. This means that before anything else, I love and treat others as if I am their servant. Sometimes we forget that Christ loved others as a servant, putting their needs, health and comfort above their own, not as a king who needed others to bow to him.

If we get more Christians like this, I believe we will then see this Nation begin a healing no one can imagine. I pray I see it before I die.

As for you, my friend, whether you are left, right, in the middle, or off the charts! You are and will always be my brother, regardless of your beliefs. I pray we all adopt this philosophy.

Conflating bisexuality with religious beliefs makes as much sense as conflating eye color with pizza preferences
