Thank you, my friend CW5 Jack Cardwell for sharing the documentary video focused on session guitarist and bass player Carol Kaye.
Her hearts desire was to be a jazz musician and was leery about becoming a studio/session musician.

Known for her bass instruction books, they were standard music industry material and, once cited by Sting as important in his early musical education. Over 30 bass and guitar educational books, DVD Courses self-help tutors, used world-wide.

Eclectic jazz musician and one of the most sought after bass players in Los Angeles during the 1960s and 1970s, she played sessions with the very best...from Frank Zappa to Frank Sinatra. Others included are Ray Charles, Barbra Streisand, Joe Cocker, Ritchie Valens, The Beach Boys, The Righteous Brothers, Phil Spector and Motown. When times were slow, her clients would include such novelty items as Tiny Tim and Alvin and the Chipmunks.
She was one of a few female artists among the accomplished session musicians of "The Wrecking Crew" Collective. Her distinctive bass-playing talents were originally rooted in the jazz arena. She recorded in the Crew for Phil Spector and for Brian Wilson on "Pet Sounds" with The Beach Boys."
