In the days before auto-correct my secretary made many a bad mistake, one not caught until engineer at Nuke plant called me and said:"Don, we cannot use this proposal as we do not have a sex hour". She had typed sex instead of SIX hour and I had not caught it. Oh the days of the Selectric typewrithre.

Interestingly (or not)... i quit using cover letters in 1991... couldn’t come up with an algorithm to customize the cover letter to the job opportunity (but did make one that customized my skill-set on the resume...
