Royal Canadian Navy supply ship MV Asterix departs Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam

Vice-Admiral Mark Norman of the Canadian Navy is on trial for breach of trust over this ship. It is called the MV(Motorized Vessel) Asterix. This ship was an interim supply ship. The other 2 Canadian Supply ships had to be scrapped due to rust on one and an engine fire on the other. The Government under Prime Minister Trudeau appears to be railroading him out of the Navy because the prospect of canceling this project leaked out and he is fighting for his honor. The Ship project went through anyway once the Trudeau government found out about the $68 million dollar cancellation fee. The prior administration under Prime Minister Stephen Harper had approved the project. Admiral Norman is now on trial but his attorney can't get evidence like the Admiral's e-mails to defend him.


This ship was retrofitted on schedule and on budget. I wonder if the Admiral Norman will win his case next March and be able to retire in honor?
