He donates to many causes. Even though he won, to think that he may donate some of it to this organization is revolting.

Maj John Bell - at will doesn't matter if he is playing under a union contract, which all NFL players and teams are bound by. The contract has rules for termination, and the second issue is an issue of all of the teams conspiring to blacklist him.

Capt Gregory Prickett I am not a sports fan. This isbecause I don't have time to watch that much football. Did he quit a contract that he signed for as a second string quarterback? Didn't he have a good job that he walked away from? I remember a friend of mine who told me that he had a great contract and he walked away from it so that way the NFL was for no obligation to hire him at a higher salary? Did the court overlook this?

Capt Gregory Prickett - As I said... "a California employer, ABSENT an agreement or statutory or public policy exception to the contrary, may terminate an employee for any reason at any time. So an important question, to which I don't know the answer, was there something in Kaepernick's CONTRACT that precluded the team owner from firing him for political speech or conduct."

Contract's usually extend protections BOTH ways. An employer who signs a contract (union or not) with an individual, who will be a public face of the franchise, is a damned fool if he cannot protect the franchise from public conduct that brings discredit upon the franchise. Not many union contracts allow employees to be fined, but I know for a fact that The NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB contracts all allow some form fines to be imposed on both players and owners for certain types of public conduct, that otherwise is not illegal.

And once again, as I said... "As far as getting together and mutually agreeing to exclude Kaepernick, yeah that was probably a bridge too far."

I'm not saying I support either side in this case, but it was pretty obvious collusion was occurring, whether it is referred to as "black-balling" or "black-listed", I mean come on, the Redskins signed Mark Sanchez and Josh Johnson over an actual starter to elite backup player like Kaep?

I am sure this is how this writer wants to spin an agreement he knows nothing about and what he thinks caused the sides to come to agreement etc. The bottom line is Kaepernick is a pathetic loser who is the poster child for the whiney left that when they cannot get a job it must be someone else's fault.

The mention of Trump was the classis leftist swipe. Trump cannot pressure the NFL owners to do a thing. Trump called out the knee takers for what they are. Kaepernick was damaged goods and he was killing he NFL image. His stats were not good and who wants a whiner like him on your team. The answer, as we have seen, is no one.

Cpl Jeff N. - Oh my Slappy, that must have touched a nerve ... and won't all your truck driver friends be disappointed. Still, I doubt it is the first time you find yourself in the position that you don't know what someone is talking about ... or other compromising positions.

Oh, I see... You think I don't have a "job". Interesting. Tell me, what sort of job have you managed to secure with all your initiative and drive, besides servicing the local truck driver community of course? I am sure it keeps you comfortably north of $150K a year, or at least you will claim it does.

I suppose there is no harm in you stumbling through life under the impression you are smarter than you actually are, and know a lot more than you actually do. I am sure you can get paid pretty well for talking out of your ass. And if you aren't getting paid for this singular talent of yours, you are certainly selling yourself short.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - Sounds like someone has some real homophobic issue Steve. You seem really fixated on servicing truck drivers. Did a truck driver hurt you when you were a child? Were you assaulted in a truck stop? Sounds like it.

While some of us were take the 20 year tour in the military and still not able to make E9 (I think we all know why in your case) others were building careers that would last 30+ years and doing quite well.

I would gladly line up my W2's for the last 10 years against yours. I am well north of your figure above. Having said that, income is not the only measurement of success in life. A lesson you seem not to have learned. You appear to be a small, bitter person that is very frustrated with his station in life (maybe not getting E9 looms larger than you thought).

I have not stumbled through life, I have owned my decisions and have done very well. You are still name calling on social media like a 13 year old, congrats on that accomplishment. I will give you the last word as most adolescents have to have it to feel special.

Cpl Jeff N. - Hey Slappy, I am impressed! Who knew being a customer service agent could be so lucrative. Way to go with all that drive and initiative.
