Maybe this is why : "We have had significant interest for facility visits. To ensure a facility visit does not interfere with the safety and well-being of our [children], we require a minimum two-week notification at the convenience and availability of the facility. This has been policy since 2015,” the department told the Miami Herald in a statement Saturday."

If they've had significant interest is visits, it seems like they'd maybe be ready for visits, right?

Also, policy doesn't override law.

It appears it wasn't the POTUS but the department running the facility.

MAJ Bryan Zeski it appears to be the standard policy and it is in writing. They we're provided a copy of it.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - You and I both know that standard written policy doesn't trump state or Federal law.

I’m sure these political hacks are better at evaluating these centers than an independent OIG, such as was done during the prior administration. As I understand, a two week notice is the norm. This was the usual stunt by the open borders bunch. Given full access at the request would be disruptive to normal activities.
