His actions are disgusting, but you should re-read article and re-watch old NBC show, "To Catch A Predator".
The accusation is that he was communicating lewdly with an undercover Colorado police officer pretending to be a 14 year old girl. His crime is primarily a violation of civilian law. Any prison sentence will be under state jurisdiction. Although USAF could file UCMJ charges, he would likely get a dismissal (officer equivalent of OTH) after his time in a Colorado state prison.
