We just passed the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings in Normandy, France. But there is another 75th Anniversary landing of US-led Forces in the Pacific Theater that's upcoming. That would be the 75th Anniversary of the landings at Leyte in the Philippines on October 20, 1944 by American & Pilipino Forces led by General Douglas MacArthur, who famously stated that, "I shall return".
